An Affidavit of Claims is a sworn written statement submitted by the claimant in a Small Claims case, setting forth the material facts, the nature of the obligation, and the amount due. It serves as the claimant’s direct testimony and primary evidence, attesting that the claim is true, correct, and within the jurisdiction of the Small Claims court. A.M. No. 08-8-7-SC governs the filing of Small Claims before the lower courts which covers monetary claims up to Php 1,000,000 excluding interests and costs.
